Internet Fax Features

Sending Faxes

  • ClickFax is automatically integrated into compatible address books such as Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, letting you send faxes to your existing contacts.
  • Every time a fax is successfully sent, ClickFax sends a confirmation to your email address. Failed faxes are resent three times, after which an email notification will be sent informing you of the failed transmission.
  • Through the ClickFax Control Panel, you will be able to configure your fax settings and modify recipient groups.

Receiving Faxes

  • ClickFax provides local and toll-free numbers to its subscribers. This is the number to which others can send you faxes.

Other Features

  • Whenever you receive a spam or junk fax, ClickFax can credit you the fax pages or minutes incurred.

Pricing Plans. Clickfax has pricing plans for individual users or home offices, corporate settings, and small and medium businesses.

  • Home Office
    • Send-only plan. For a monthly fee of $5.55 a month, you can send faxes and pay only for the pages or minutes you used.
    • Receive-only plan. For $7.55 a month, this plan comes with 20 inbound faxes.
    • Send-only plan. This includes 30 included pages of outbound fax for $7.95 a month.
    • Send and receive plan. For $9.95 a month with a local fax number capable of receiving faxes, the send and receive plan includes 50 combined inbound and outbound pages
  • Small/Medium Business
    • Two-user send/receive plan. For $20.95 a month, this plan includes two local numbers capable of receiving faxes and 120 combined inbound and outbound faxes.
    • Five-user receive-only plan.
    • Five-user medium-volume sending plan. Designed for businesses that have more outbound than inbound faxes, this plan costs $57.55 a month and comes with five fax emails and 500 outbound faxes a month.
  • Enterprise/Corporate
    • Department send/receive plan. For $94.55 a month, this plan comes with ten fax emails, ten receiving numbers and 500 combined inbound and outbound faxes.
    • 25-user send/receive plan. For $94.55 a month, this plan comes with ten fax emails, ten receiving numbers and 500 combined inbound and outbound faxes.

Summary: RingCentral’s Fax 2500 and ClickFax’s five-user send and receive plan costs $59.99 and $57.99, respectively. However, it seems that RingCentral is the more affordable choice, since it has 2500 pages of combined inbound and outbound faxes, while ClickFax has only 500. Moreover, RingCentral’s overage rates are significantly lower then Clickfax’s. ClickFax features an optional archive CD that you can purchase per month. This is a good system of archiving your faxes. It also includes five email addresses, all connected to one virtual fax number, giving more flexibility in managing faxes. RingCentral Internet fax, on the other hand, is automatically integrated into its virtual PBX package, so if you’re already using RingCentral virtual PBX, your faxes will also by synched to your other communications.
